Imagine Your Worst Day Ever
by Jami Sorenson

Riley & Jami Sorenson

First, imagine your worst day ever. I thought my worst day was the day the surgeons walked away with my 11 month old baby in order to remove her brain tumor. But it wasn’t, the very worst day was 12 years later when the doctors told me there was no longer any hope because we had run out of options. They said it was time to take my daughter home and watch her die. I have even been told that to be a good parent, you have to know when to give up and let go. I do not give up.

Now imagine your best day! Mine was the day I decided to use complementary integrative medicine. That was the day my little girl was given another chance at life, another chance to smile and laugh, and another chance to live. Before that day I had no hope and now almost a year later, my daughter continues to thrive. She is a freshman in high school and just went to her first homecoming dance... all thanks to her treatments and prayer.

The Fullness of Life Foundation is what has made it all happen for us. Being a single mom with 3 kids, 2 living at home, I was scared because of the cost. The doctors of integrative medicine felt strongly that they could help Riley and that we should begin treatments immediately. I could not believe the blessing and the gift that we were given. I know in my heart that we were guided to these doctors and thank God everyday for the Fullness of Life Foundation and all that they have done for Riley and our family. Integrative medicine has given my daughter back her life and The Fullness of Life Foundation has made it possible.
